Walter Payton was one of the best NFL players of all-time, retiring in 1987 as the leagues all-time rushing leader. His record of 16,726 rushing yards was not broken until the 2002, when it was surpassed by his fellow Hall of Famer, Emmitt Smith. Payton was named to the NFLs all-decade teams in both the 1970s and 1980s, and has been inducted into both the Pro and College Football Halls of Fame. Payton has signed the south panel of this Official National League William D. White baseball in blue ink, adding his number “34” and the desirable inscription “Sweetness”. The ball is in good condition. The baseball comes with an LOA from JSA (Z15903) for the signature.
