The Tuber “Amateur League” baseball has been signed by the following twenty-two players: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Bill Dickey, Rabbit Maranville, Earle Combs, Red Ruffing, Lefty Gomez, Joe McCarthy, Dixie Walker, Don Heffner, Johnny Broaca, Ben Chapman, Cliff Melton, Buddy Lewis, Jimmy DeShong, Johnny Allen, Pepper Martin, Elbie Fletcher (sweet spot), Buck Jordan, Marvin Duke, Frank Hogan, and one other. It is one of the rare balls signed by both Ruth and Gehrig where Gehrig’s signature sits on the sweet spot. The red-and-blue stitched ball has all the manufacturer’s stampings clearly legible.
