They faced the National League Champion Colorado Rockies and dominated the overmatched Rockies, sweeping them in four games and out-scoring the Rockies 29-10. Mike Lowell won the World Series MVP award, hitting .400 with a home run and 4 RBI. Manager Terry Francona signed his name on the sweet spot of this baseball.
