Boston Marathon 2009 Competitors Poster – Adidas

Did you run Boston in 2009? Do you have a loved one who did? Are you simply a fan and collector of the world’s most prestigous road race? If any of these apply, this poster is for you! As an annual tradition, Adidas has, for the past several years, published the official competitors’ poster for the Boston Marathon, distributing them exclusively at their booth at the Sports & Fitness Expo inside the John B. Hynes Convention Center during Marathon week. We have managed to obtain a limited quantity of the 2009 edition – a spectacular piece featuring a glorious look at the finish area in downtown Boston in 2008, as hundreds of non-elite participants don their “Shiny on the outside, Victorious on the inside” ponchos and bask in the sun-soaked glory of a successful run! It is a two-sided poster, with each side displaying the same image, title, and logos. What you can’t see on the picture here is the fine print – the fine print that runs throughout each side of the poster in reflective silver ink, listing the names of every single runner registered to compete in the 113th Boston Marathon on April 19th, 2009 (from Angela Aadahl to Trey Lamair on one side, Thomas Lamanna to Jim Zywiec on the other).
